A cozy mulled cider made for cold nights, with Humane No.1 Rum infused with maple, bourbon, and butter pecan. Batch it for a crowd or make one mug at a time for instant comfort.

Recipe Type: Rum Spiked Cider

Flavor Profile: Botanical & aromatic, Savory & complex

Glassware: Insulated mug

Batching:

 - 1 quart apple cider

 - 2 cups Five Saints Maple Bourbon Butter Pecan Rum (added after heating)

 - Optional: 1 cinnamon stick, 2 star anise, 3 cloves, 1 orange slice, 1/2 tsp allspice

Single serving:

 - 2 oz rum

 - 1.5–2 cups hot cider

Steps:

1) Batching: Heat apple cider with spices over low heat (do not boil). Simmer 15–20 minutes, then remove spices. Stir in rum just before serving.

2) Single serving: Add rum to hot cider and stir. Garnish as desired.
